This past weekend, Formula Drift circuit made their annual stop at Wall NJ "The Gauntlet". During Saturdays event HPI Racing held their final 8 drift challenge competition. 
The results are in and Lil Willie from Staten Island NY came home with the HPI TC-FD chassis.

Back on June 2nd, 2012. HPI Racing held their first Drift Challenge Qualifier here at Jackson R/C Raceway in Jackson NJ.
At the event 8 seats would advance to the HPI drift challenge held at Forumla Drift "The Gauntlet", on June 23. 2012.
The results are in and these are the Top 8 that will be competing for a HPI TC-FD chassis with countersteer parts. and other prizes.  
Winner of the HPI Racing "R/C Gauntlet" may have a chance to win a trip to California.

RC Drift Events and D1-10.nl in association with Atomic Energy Drink will be organizing the First Open European RC Drift Championship!
This event will taking place this weekend, Friday May 25th till Monday May 28th 2012.  Location is the Spykerhal at Autotron Rosmalen in the Netherlands.
          Registration is closed due to maximum entries!! 
The Countries in attendance this year are:
Germany - Norway - England - Denmark - Russia - France - Switzerland - Austria - Italy - Japan - Lithuania - Slovakia - Latvia and the Netherlands. No team from good ol' America this year but there is always next year.

Toxic drift of New Jersey will be hosting a Sunday drift session at Jackson R/C Raceway starting May 27, 2012. These Sunday events are to help promote the RC drfit scene. They encourage people to pass the word around AND stop by to ask questions or get slideways with us on these days. 
RC drift car rentals will be available.

Carlisle Performance and Style Car Show is coming up in just a few days, May 12 & 13 2012. For all that have never heard of Carlisle Fairgrounds, This fairground has been around for 30 plus years. They have hosted some of the largest car, truck and motorcycle collector events on the east coast.
This weekend they will be host to Performance and Style.. This particular show is a lifestyle festival - celebrating the hottest trends in the motorsports world.  Custom compacts tuners, modern muscle cars, VIP sedans, SUVs, mini trucks and more on the Performance and Style Showfield.  
Driftsylvania, a group of friends who share a passion for R/C Drifting will once again tear up in the Carlisle Performance & Style Pavilion with R/C drifting demonstrations and drift car rentals. Last year, the crew competed against Formula Drift professional driver, Vaughn Gittin Jr.. You will just have to wait and see what surprises Driftsylvania will have in store.

Last Saturday d2YankiDori was invited to a Driftsylvania and Toxic drift RC drift demo at Elite Streetz Car and Sound Expo in Allentown PA. The nice weather brought out some real nice cars; from old Toyotas Corollas to the new Chevy Camaro. Driftslyvania and Toxic Drift put on an exceptional door-2-door demonstration of what RC drift is all about.

The North-East couldn't have asked for anything better come Opening day last Sunday. The weather was excellent, much warmer than usual for an April day, and the sun shined down on Jackson RC with not a cloud in the sky.
 
Toxic Drift hosted their well anticipated Opening Day Drift meet at Jackson RC. It was a good turnout for opening day, from the novice to the more advanced. from the hobbiest to the 1:1 drift drivers and a few ladies too. All seemed to have a sliding good time.... 

 Toxic divided the space into 2 track layouts. One was on the main section of the track, This consisted of some real nice switchbacks. The smaller "beginner/warm-up" course had a beautiful sweeper attached to it. 

Skavenger Drift, 1:1 Island Slide, Raikou, Dorihoshi, and all the independant sliders. Thank you for coming out and making the day memorable. 
Special thanks DJ Sucio for keeping the sounds flowing while getting sidewayz, and Jackson RC for providing the facility to host the event.
