Bruckners Hobbies from Bronx, NY asked Team DoriHoshi and Team Skavenger to host a Drift comp/demo for the WRAM(Westchester Radio Aero Model) Show on February 24-26 at the Secaucus Expo Hall in NJ. The 2 teams organized drift demos for Friday and Sunday, and the competition for Saturday. The day brought out stiff competition from the newcomers, and tandem battles were fought hard.
At the end, Team Skavengers member Mando came away with First, Team Shaolins, Ray with second and Skavengers team captain Blue with third. It was a good turnout and the WRAM spectators were very happy of the presentation.
Here are a few photos from Saturdays comp. You can find more in my Photobucket.

On New Years Day, New York's first indoor track dedicated specifically for RC drift enthusiast - House of Dorifto - hosted their Grand Opening event. The day brought out the local drifters from as far as PA to get sidewayz. The building is located in downtown New Rochelle NY. It is actually the home to NY's newest indoor touring track, but they graciously accommodated space in their facility to lay down a drift track.
The track is layed on a polished floor with tape and cardboard corners for now - "They do plan on some upgrades in the near future to track". There is a pit area with tables and electricity and an air compressor. You do need to bring your own chairs. There are places to eat in the vicinity of the building plus food places do delivery to the track.
Thanks to SNTRL and Team Dori Hoshi for taking the time to get the place right for opening day.
I received a new camera lens for christmas so this was a great chance for me to try it out. I couldnt find the lenses sweet spot but I did get a few nice photos.

BIG THANKS - to everyone for dealing with me being in the way alot of the time when I was there. I do hope the photos can express my gratitude.
Now on to the pics.

I made a few boo-boos in my year end review so I wanted to make sure that I fix my mistakes and give credit to where credit is due.
A missed date but not forgotten was July 29, 2011. Driftsylvania Productions with the help of Toxic Drift, put on a drift demo in front of ROAR officials at Jackson Raceway in NJ. This was to acquire the priviledge of using the Jackson Raceway track for an upcoming drift event.
Dorifest was sponsored by Driftsylvania Productions and not Toxic. Toxic were the people that helped with getting the day in order at the track. Also at Dorifest - Jackson Raceway, we were graced with having special appearances by Gardella Racing,  Canibeat and Formula Drift Driver Eric O'Sullivan who was the guest judge.

As the year dwindles to an end and the North-East takes an event hiatus until The weekend of February 18/19 2012- MOTORAMA. I thought we could "manji" down memory lane of 2011.
